Natasha Gills of Old Mill Senior High School ranks 24th in her class of 468. She has a weighted GPA of 4.0 and combined SAT scores of 1070. Natasha has completed a number of honors and advanced placement classes including calculus, biology, science, chemistry, physics, European History, and English. She is highly recommended by her Chemistry and English teachers. They describe her as responsible, independent, logical, motivated, conscientious and dependable.
Natasha's extra-curricula activities have included Varsity basketball and Outdoor Track, Praise Dance Ministry, National Honor Society, Peer Helper and Math, Engineering and Science Club. She was the first place winner in The Links, Inc. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. writing contest.
In her community, Natasha has volunteered with several organizations including the Willing Workers Catering and Habitat for Humanity.
Natasha plans to attend Howard University in Washington, DC to major in biochemical or electrical engineering. Kunta Kinte Celebrations, Inc. congratulates Natasha as its 2007 scholarship recipient.
The Kunta Kinte Celebrations Scholarship application is available to all Anne Arundel County public high school seniors and may be obtained in the fall from any county high school guidance office in the Scholarship for Scholars package.
