Kunta Kinte Celebrations, Inc. is a non-profit organization that relies on its large and diverse group of wonderful volunteers to produce the Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival.
Volunteers are needed for the following festival committees and the days, volunteers are asked to give two hours of their time.
Pre-Festival
Community Services hours are available to high school volunteers.
Tickets
Ticket takers are needed at the entrance gate to receive tickets and handout flyers.
Days: Saturday and Sunday 8/9 - 8/10 2008
Hours: 9:30am to 8:00pm
Grounds
The Grounds Committee has several opportunities for volunteers. Parking attendants are needed to direct partons parking before, during and after the festival.
A grounds maintenance crew will be needed to keep the grounds clean and transport items to locations at the festival.
Days: Saturday and Sunday 8/9 - 8/10 2008
Hours: 7:00am to closing
There is also a great need for manpower to assist in setting up and breaking down the festival. Strong handy individuals are needed for these tasks.
Days: Friday and Monday 8/8 and 8/11 2008
Hours: 7:00am until
Refreshments
Volunteers are needed to sell and dispense refreshments at the festival.
Days: Saturday and Sunday 8/9- 8/10 2008
Hours: 9:30am to 8:00pm
