Children's Activity Tent Schedule

All Day!

Kunta Kinte's childhood in Juffure in the Gambia was rich with cultural
activity. Visit the children's tent at the festival to enjoy crafting
traditional items to take home:

  • Decorate a spirit mask to express your creativity

  • Weave Kente cloth with yarn and learn about the symbolism of colors

If you are interested in performing at the 2023 festival, contact us at kuntakintecelebrations@gmail.com with sound clips and/or performance video!
