Kunta Kinte Celebrations, Inc. is volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is celebrating the perseverance, education, and cultural heritage of Africans, African Americans, and Caribbean people of African descent. In September 1987, the first event, known as the Kunta Kinte Celebration was born in Annapolis, Maryland.
